SEBORHOEIC DERMATITIS (ECZEMA)
Features as areas of redness covered by large, yellow greasy scales semi-attached to the scalp. It may look similar to Pityriasis Steatoides but this is a far more chronic complaint. Severe redness and irritation can accompany this condition. The scalp can get weepy or moist, crusty, tight, sore or sensitive. It extends frequently beyond the front, side and back hairline borders affecting the forehead, neck and inside the ears.
Other areas can include eyebrows, sides of nose, side burns (men), back of hands, groin and other moist areas.
This condition follows the same causes and treatment results as Psoriasis. Like Psoriasis, it is not an infectious or contagious condition.
