Having suffered hair loss due to an under active thyroid in 1992 and an early menopause when I reached 42, my self esteem hit rock bottom. I covered my scalp with costly hair building fibres, extensions and wigs. But at the end of the day the condition of my hair and scalp was getting worse. After much encouragement by my family, I eventually got in touch with Richard Spencer at the Spencer Clinic. I had to cover my head with a hat from sheer embarrassment, but after a consultation with loads of tears, Richard reassured me that with patience, dedication on my part, and treatments, I would get my self esteem back. And he was right. After diagnosing Androgenic Alopecia Female Pattern, I began my treatment. Now after just 5 months I have thrown away the hair building fibres, hair extensions and wigs. My hair is full of body, volume and new hair is springing up all over my crown. I’m amazed! I went to Samantha with hair that had a sticky residue like glue that I couldn’t remove. Nobody else could give me answers for the challenges I was facing and it was traumatic and killing my confidence, especially as I had previously had to cut 12 inches off my tailbone length hair, as it got dried-out completely by going to floatation tanks all the time. I was completely in the dark and she explained that it was a build-up of oils and products, as I had been using the wrong things for my hair type. It is so hard to find the right information out there. I wish I had found Samantha much sooner. She was very kind and empathetic and put me at ease. She gave me a normal shampoo without any harmful ingredients but which actually cleans my hair and I am slowly getting my volume back and managing to grow it again. I love that their shampoos are so simple, effective and non-harmful. Hard to find any like that anywhere else.

Richard diagnosed and has been treating my scalp condition that was causing significant hair loss, much to my distress. After two courses of wonderful treatment the condition has been cleared and my scalp is now responding well to specialised treatment to promote new hair regrowth.

I have just finished my 7th treatment with the Spencer Clinic. I have had slow & progressive hair loss for 5 years but finally plucked up the courage to do something about it 2 months ago. If you are looking for a brilliant trichologist then look no further as you have found it! I was scared away by the Belgravia centre 3 years ago and thought no one could help me but I was wrong.. Richard, Sam and therapist Leti are a great team and are always very kind & professional. They take the time to get to know you as a person & always made to feel very welcome at every visit. Since having 7 treatments and using minoxidil at home I have seen a lot less hair shedding & new hair growth!!
